BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand has achieved a significant milestone by serving as the Partner Country at Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, Germany, the world’s largest gaming trade fair. The Thailand Pavilion highlighted the nation’s cultural creativity, technological capability, and growing influence in the global gaming industry, with the participation of 15 Thai studios.
The Thai gaming industry is currently valued at more than USD 1.3 billion, with over 32 million players, ranking Thailand among the Top 20 global gaming markets and one of the fastest-growing markets in Asia. This recognition underscores Thailand’s transition from being a major consumer to an emerging creator and leader in the gaming sector.
Looking ahead, Thailand will host the Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show from 16–19 October 2025 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok. The event will bring together international developers, publishers, investors, and industry stakeholders, reinforcing Bangkok’s role as a new hub for the Southeast Asian gaming industry. (NNT)
