BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Commerce has launched the second year of its “Travel, Enjoy, Dine with Thai SELECT” campaign to promote Thai cuisine and support certified Thai restaurants. Spearheaded by Commerce Minister Jatuporn Buruspat and organized through the Department of Business Development, the campaign runs from August 29 to October 15. Diners who spend at least 500 baht at any Thai SELECT restaurant in Thailand can enter a lucky draw for prizes worth over 2 million baht by submitting their receipt via the LINE Official Account @thaiselect.
Consumer prizes include a limited-edition one-baht gold bar, exclusive culinary travel experiences, and cashback rewards worth more than 140,000 baht. In addition, a short video contest titled “Thai Food Must Be Thai SELECT” invites content creators and influencers to compete for a combined prize pool of 300,000 baht, along with trophies and certificates. Several public and private partners are supporting the campaign. LINE MAN and Grab are offering promotional codes for Thai SELECT restaurant orders, while KTC cardholders receive additional dining benefits. CP Axtra and The Mall Group are helping with outreach, and Thai Airways is launching a promotion for Australian travelers dining at Thai SELECT restaurants in Thailand. Other supporters include the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Gourmet & Cuisine magazine, and hospitality training institutions.
The launch event also featured a showcase of seven well-known Thai SELECT-certified restaurants, offering guests a taste of authentic regional Thai cuisine. Currently, 496 restaurants across the country are certified under the Thai SELECT standard, which ensures quality, fair pricing, and authenticity.
