Thailand reaffirms commitment to OECD membership, inclusive growth at Paris forum

PARIS – Thailand’s Foreign Minister urged stronger cooperation with OECD during a key ministerial forum in Paris.

Foreign Minister Maris Sangiampongsa reaffirmed Thailand’s commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development. He joined discussions under the topic “Promoting inclusive economic growth to advance members’ sustainable development” during the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting.



Maris highlighted Thailand’s aim to boost MSMEs’ role in global and regional value chains. He also addressed the need to improve green financing access and enhance international cooperation, including engagement with the European Union on the EUDR regulation.

He reaffirmed Thailand’s intention to become a full OECD member by 2030. Key focus areas include high-quality sustainable investment, anti-corruption, and joining the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention. (NNT)
