Thailand ready to host Thai-Indian JC meeting this Friday

BANGKOK, 24 June 2015 – Thailand is gearing up to host the seventh Thai-Indian Joint Commission meeting this Friday to promote bilateral relations.

Deputy Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs Vitavas Srivihok said the first meeting on Friday will be held between high-ranking officials from both nations.

Foreign Minister General Thanasak Patimaprakorn and his Indian counterpart Sushma Swaraj will join the second meeting next Monday.

Both parties will discuss bilateral cooperation regarding politics, national security and social issues. They are also expected to forge new bilateral agreements and address any pending issues.
