BANGKOK, Thailand – A delegation from Thailand’s Public Relations Department (PRD) participated in the 17th National Radio Festival in Ha Long, hosted by Voice of Vietnam, to exchange knowledge and experiences in radio broadcasting at the international level.

Held under the theme “Podcasting – A Creative Avenue Where Radio Meets the Digital Era,” the event brought together media professionals to explore how podcasting is reshaping the future of radio.

The program opened with welcoming remarks, followed by a key session on global and regional podcast trends. Andrew Davies from the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union shared insights into the direction of podcast development, while Justine Kelly from ABC International highlighted her organization’s experience in building successful podcast strategies.

Vietnam’s National Radio Festival is a key platform for media professionals. This year’s edition welcomed more than 800 participants from radio and television organizations across 34 provinces in Vietnam, as well as international representatives, underscoring the growing importance of podcasting as a creative tool to help radio adapt to the digital age and reach modern audiences. PRD’s participation also provided an opportunity to monitor emerging media trends and strengthen communication networks at both regional and global levels.
