BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Government Spokesperson Sasikarn Wattanachan announced that Thailand has won the Top Global Spa and Wellness Destination Award. The honor was presented by Hospitality Horizon, a well-known travel magazine in India, at a ceremony in Mumbai on June 14th.
The spokesperson stated that Thailand’s strength lies in its holistic wellness offerings that blend traditional wisdom, nature, and world-class hospitality. She said the award reinforces Thailand’s image as a global health and wellness destination and will help add value to the country’s tourism services.
The announcement coincides with the Thailand Wellness and Healthcare Expo 2025. The event, described as the nation’s largest health and innovation exhibition, is being held from June 26th to 29th at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC). Over 120 million Thai baht in business transactions are expected during the expo.
Sasikarn reiterated the government’s commitment to driving its policy to make Thailand a leading global health and wellness destination, aligning with the prestige of the recent award. (NNT)
