BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand’s Government Public Relations Department (PRD) has launched the pilot project “Thainess Beyond Borders” aimed at building networks among young Thai nationals overseas to communicate Thailand’s image on the global stage.
PRD Director-General Sudruetai Lertkasem discussed with key stakeholders including
Chinnaphan Roekchamnong, Minister (for Education), Office of Educational Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy, London, along with Pakkapol Lailert, Vice President of Samaggi Samagom, a Thai Association in the UK
The initiative encourages Thai students abroad to create original content reflecting Thai identity from their unique perspectives. Participants can submit articles, video clips, or photographs with captions for distribution through government channels including NBT, NBT World, Facebook Page – PR Thai Government, and the official website www.thailand.go.th.
Selected works will receive certificates of recognition, awards, and the honor of contributing to Thailand’s international communication efforts. The project aligns with Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Jiraporn Sindhuprai’s policy to expand communication with overseas Thais, particularly students who represent the nation’s future strength.
The pilot program is set to expand to Thai scholarship students in seven countries: the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Japan, Australia, Germany, and France. (PRD)
