
TOKYO, Japan – Thailand and Cambodia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties during a meeting between their foreign ministers on the sidelines of the 30th Nikkei Forum Future of Asia in Tokyo. The talks were held between Maris Sangiampongsa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, and Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia.
The ministers discussed maintaining stability and expanding cooperation along their shared border, agreeing that it should reflect peaceful relations and mutual interests while supporting the broader relationship between the two countries.
They also exchanged views on regional and global developments, as part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to encourage dialogue and mutual understanding. Both sides expressed readiness to continue collaboration across various areas.
The Nikkei Forum Future of Asia, held annually in Tokyo, gathers regional leaders and policymakers to discuss political and economic trends shaping the continent.
