Thai Transport Co. updates bus schedules to serve 269 routes daily for domestic and cross-border travel

Expanded services aim to ensure safer, more convenient journeys during Thailand’s rainy season.

BANGKOK, Thailand –  The Transport Company Limited (BorKorSor), Thailand’s state-run intercity bus operator, has announced a major update to its domestic and international bus timetables, aligning services with the increased travel demand and safety needs of passengers during the rainy season.

Chatchawan Pornamorntham, Acting President of BorKorSor, stated that 71 routes are now in operation with 269 trips per day — a strategic move driven by the Transport Ministy. The updated services are intended to enhance safety, efficiency, and comfort for commuters and tourists alike, especially during periods of inclement weather.



Current Passenger Demand

Weekdays:
Passenger Volume: 80,000–90,000 daily
Trips Operated: 5,000–6,000
Weekends/Public Holidays:
Passenger Volume: Around 100,000
Trips Operated: Approximately 7,000

Domestic Routes: 59 Routes, 208 Trips Per Day (Effective May 1, 2025)
Northern Thailand – 21 Routes, 68 Trips Daily
Bangkok–Chiang Rai–Chiang Saen (875 km)
