The Central Investigation Bureau raided a Sai Mai warehouse, confiscating more than 118,000 fake cosmetics and hair-care products valued at over 10 million baht, targeting an alleged online network led by a Chinese national distributing counterfeit goods nationwide.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has raided a warehouse in Bangkok’s Sai Mai district linked to the distribution of counterfeit cosmetics and hair-care products, seizing more than 118,000 items valued at over 10 million baht. The operation targeted a network allegedly run by a Chinese national who sold fake products of well-known brands through online platforms.

The raid followed an investigation into the sale of large volumes of counterfeit goods nationwide. Authorities traced the operation to the Sai Mai warehouse, where substantial quantities of counterfeit cosmetics and hair-care products were stored before being shipped to customers nationwide.

The case originated after reports of widespread online sales of counterfeit “Lyo” herbal shampoo. Further inquiries revealed that the network had been illegally importing fake products from abroad and processing customer orders directly from the warehouse.

Officials said the operation had been active for about six months, with estimated daily sales of 500 to 1,000 items, generating large-scale illegal revenue.

Investigators added that the group attempted to avoid detection by frequently rotating bank accounts, relocating storage locations, and repeatedly changing shop names on online platforms. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify additional suspects and trace the financial networks involved. (NNT)
