BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra declined to answer questions about the deadline for the proposed ministerial swap between the Pheu Thai and Bhumjaithai parties, as well as Cambodia’s indefinite postponement of the Thai-Cambodian Regional Border Committee (RBC) meeting.
After walking down the stairs from the Thai Koo Fah Building to the Santimaitri Building at Government House, the Prime Minister sighed but refused to comment before attending a signing ceremony for an MOU on integrating databases for vulnerable groups and the elderly.
Pheu Thai has reportedly proposed exchanging the Ministry of Interior portfolio for the Ministry of Public Health, along with an additional ministerial post at the Prime Minister’s Office, with a 48-hour deadline. Meanwhile, Cambodia’s delay of the RBC meeting has raised concerns about managing the border situation. (TNA)
