BANGKOK, Thailand – The government has reminded over 300,000 approved participants in the “Half-Half Plus” co-payment program to make their first purchase through the “Paotang” app by 11:00 p.m. on November 11, 2025. Those who fail to complete a transaction by the deadline will be removed from the program.
As of 5:00 p.m. on November 10, 19.62 million of the 20 million registered participants had already made purchases, generating 28.79 billion baht in total spending across more than 820,000 merchants. The program has recorded over 203 million completed transactions.
Food delivery platforms have also been integrated into the scheme. Combined spending through these services has reached 360 million baht, with LINEMAN leading at 215 million, followed by Grab at 127 million, ShopeeFood at 17 million, and Robinhood at 610,000.
The Ministry of Finance reported that 78 merchants have been disqualified for violating program rules, including exchanging cash for credits and scanning QR codes away from their registered sales locations. These activities were flagged through social media monitoring and data analysis.
The “Half-Half Plus” scheme supports daily purchases for consumers while encouraging small business activity. Participants and merchants are required to follow strict rules to maintain the integrity of the system. (NNT)
