TAT launched short film contest to promote eco-friendly tourism

BANGKOK, 21 June 2011 -The Tourism Authority of Thailand is inviting Thai youths to enter a 5 minute short film in the competition to raise the awareness of sustainable and eco-friendly tourism in Thailand. 

Mr. Surapol Sawetsenee, Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Governor, said this event would focus on encouraging young people to travel sensibly. The competition is based on the 5 principles: conscience, creativity, understanding, togetherness and integrity.

Participants must be university students and produce 5 minute film in a group of 4 people. The event will be launched in 4 regions across Thailand. The event will be held in the Southern region first on 2 July 2011 at Leela Garbe Hotel in Hat Yai district. The North on 14 July and Centara Duangtawan Hotel and Bangkok on 29 July.
