Southern Thailand train services partially resume as floodwaters recede

State Railway of Thailand staff prepare trains for service resumption in southern provinces while flood-affected tracks near Hat Yai remain under inspection for safety.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Southern Train Update – Flooding Situation. Floodwaters in parts of the South are beginning to recede, allowing the State Railway of Thailand to reopen some sections — with services now running as far as Phatthalung.

For safety, SRT has adjusted 8 southern train routes and temporarily suspended 6 services starting 28 November 2025, while flooding around Hat Yai continues. Travellers with advance tickets can request a full refund at any station nationwide.
