
BANGKOK, Thailand – A Sky Doctor emergency medical team from Nakornping Hospital, in collaboration with the Ramathibodi Hospital medical team, has been deployed to Hat Yai District to provide care for residents affected by the flood crisis. The team is stationed at the first-aid unit set up at Diana Shopping Center to ensure timely medical support for the public.
Today, a total of 500 individuals received medical services at the site. Most cases were classified as “green,” consisting of minor injuries sustained while wading through floodwaters, including foot wounds, infections, and symptoms of fatigue caused by dehydration and lack of food. One patient was categorized as “yellow,” requiring urgent evaluation, while three patients were classified as “red,” presenting symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest tightness, and palpitations.
Medical and nursing teams conducted assessments, provided initial treatment, and arranged transfers of the yellow and red cases to Songklanagarind Hospital for further care.
The Sky Doctor team from Nakornping Hospital expressed appreciation for the public’s support and encouragement. It reaffirmed their commitment to providing the best possible care to the people of Hat Yai during this challenging period. (NNT)
