Royal condolence message sent to Indonesia over terrorist attacks

BANGKOK – His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has conveyed a message of condolence to the President of the Republic of Indonesia following terrorist attacks in Jakarta on 14 January.

The message, revealed on Friday night by the Office of His Majesty’s Principal Private Secretary, read as follows: “The Queen and I are deeply distressed by reports of the terrorist attacks which caused loss of innocent lives and casualties in your country. We wish to extend our heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Your Excellency and through you to all those who have been inflicted with loss and bereavement from this tragic incident.”
