In this photo by Sakchai Lalit, construction workers renovate the roof of Wat Suthat in Bangkok. The roof’s features — multiple tiers, vibrant colors and elaborate detailing — are unique to temples in Thailand, where Buddhism is the dominant religion but Hinduism is also influential. The Suthat temple was built in the 1800s and is best known for its art and architecture and a giant swing in front of the building.
