RANONG, 11 August 2015 – Charity organizations and the business sector in Ranong province have presented donations to the Myanmar government to help those affected by the floods.

Rice, dried food and other daily necessities have been given to the Governor of Kawthaung town, located in the South of Myanmar near the border with Thailand.

All items were loaded onto trucks in Koh Song for delivery to the Yangon command center in charge of relief operations. They are expected to be distributed to areas severely inundated in Myanmar soon.

Myanmar has expressed gratitude towards the Thai people for reaching out to Burmese people and promised to reciprocate if Thailand ever needs help in the future.
