BANGKOK, Thailand – Rajavithi Hospital, under the Ministry of Public Health, has been included in Newsweek’s list of the 30 best hospitals in the country for 2026. The hospital, which operates under the Department of Medical Services, appears on the list alongside several major private medical institutions.
The ranking was compiled by Newsweek in partnership with Statista, a Germany-based data research and statistics company. The assessment was based on online surveys of medical professionals, with input from more than 85,000 healthcare workers across 30 countries.
The evaluation considered several indicators, including standards of specialized medical care, patient safety, treatment outcomes, and international accreditation from recognized quality assurance organizations. Patient feedback was also collected through Patient-Reported Outcome Measures that assess treatment effectiveness and safety.
Hospitals listed among Thailand’s top institutions include Bumrungrad International Hospital, Samitivej Sukhumvit Hospital, King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, Siriraj Piyamaharajkarun Hospital, and Bangkok Hospital. Other hospitals in the ranking include Ramathibodi Hospital, Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital, Vajira Hospital, and Srinagarind Hospital, as well as several private hospitals across the country.
