BANGKOK, Thailand – Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya attended a dinner hosted by the Royal Thai Government at the Royal Thai Embassy in Rome on October 20, 2026, after receiving the Knight Grand Cross of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow hosted the dinner in her honor to celebrate the conferment of the prestigious Italian decoration.

For the occasion, Princess Sirivannavari donned an ensemble crafted from traditional Thai silk featuring the Buppha Rattikan, or Night-Blooming Flowers, pattern, with geometric motifs characteristic of Ubon Ratchathani’s textile heritage. Saranyu Srisai of the Raka Weaving Group in Warin Chamrap district handwove the fabric, made from silk produced by indigenous Thai silkworms, and the fashion brand Pyvet tailored it. (NNT)
