BANGKOK, Thailand – Following a one-hour meeting with coalition party leaders to discuss cabinet reshuffles to fill eight vacancies after Bhumjaithai’s withdrawal at Rosewood Hotel on June 22, Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra posted on social media that coalition parties have agreed to back the government and work together to build political stability.
The Prime Minister’s post included a photo with coalition leaders and a statement emphasizing national unity as key to overcoming sensitive situations and addressing security threats. She thanked coalition members for their resolution to support the government in facing external security challenges and advancing policies to solve public problems.
Paetongtarn reaffirmed the government and military’s shared commitment to democracy and constitutional principles, stating:
“I believe no threat is greater than the unity of the Thai people. Our government will work hard with dedication for Thailand.”
Reports indicate the cabinet reshuffle, involving shifts in several ministries, will be finalized and presented for royal endorsement by the end of June. (TNA)
