PM informs UNHRC of Thailand’s OSCC center

BANGKOK, 11 September 2013 Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has informed the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) of Thailand’s establisment of One Stop Crisis Center(OSCC) to help the society and reduce sexual abuse cases. 

During her visit Switzerland’s Geneva, the Thai Premier delivered her speech in front of the UNHRC members, saying she was very proud to have been the first Thai prime minister to speak in front of the UNHRC. She assured the Council that the Thai government would do whatever it took to protect liberty and human rights, and that everybody had freedom of expression, and that the government would listen to all requests and suggestions made by the people.

Miss Yingluck also informed the UNHRC of Thailand’s One Stop Crisis Center (OSCC), which has been established with an aim to help the society and people in need. She said the center would help reduce the number of sexual abuse cases and promote human rights among the people.

Lastly, the Thai Premier stated that she supported the idea that all human being are created equal and should be treated as such, having the same rights, privileges, and dignity regardless of who they are or where they come from.
