BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and his spouse led a merit-making ceremony this morning to honor the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great. The ceremony, held at Sanam Luang in Bangkok at 7:30 a.m., included a Buddhist prayer service and alms offering to 189 monks.

The event commemorates December 5 as a national holiday in Thailand, observed as both National Day and Father’s Day. Members of the Cabinet and senior government officials joined the ceremony to pay their respects and participate in traditional offerings, honoring the late King’s enduring legacy and importance in Thai society.
