BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul chaired an urgent meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to assess escalating tensions in the Middle East and review assistance measures for Thai nationals in the region. The Situation Monitoring Center session was attended by Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow, senior ministry officials, and Thai ambassadors and consuls-general stationed across the Middle East.

Officials received updates on ongoing hostilities and evacuation preparedness. According to the briefing, strikes have continued in Tehran, targeting strategic infrastructure and some civilian sites. Iran is currently in a period of political transition following the loss of its Supreme Leader, with an interim council overseeing the situation while the succession process continues. Israeli operations against Iranian targets have persisted, while Hezbollah has launched attacks in central and northern Israel.
