PHUKET, Thailand – Phuket has launched the Thailand International Boat Show 2026, promoting the province’s status as a key hub for marine tourism and premium travel in Thailand. The event, running until January 18, is being hosted at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina.

The opening ceremony on January 15 was presided over by Permanent Secretary for Tourism and Sports Natthriya Thaweevong, together with Phuket Governor Nirat Pongsittitavorn, Manatase Annawat of Thailand Privilege Card Co., and David Hayes, chief executive of JAND Events. Organizers said the show supports national efforts to bolster high-value tourism and expand the marine sector.

Officials described the southern province as a strategic area for the Thailand Privilege Card program, citing strong membership growth that reflects continued confidence among international visitors and long-term residents in the province’s quality of life, infrastructure, and investment climate.

The event also provides an international platform for yacht operators, marine technology specialists, investors, and tourists from Europe, the Americas, and other regions, creating business opportunities and stimulating spending across the local economy.

Authorities said cooperation among government agencies, private partners, and international organizers will help firmly establish Phuket as a global marine tourism and lifestyle hub while boosting employment and long-term economic growth.
