Phuket welcomes global Pride organizers from October 28 to November 1 for workshops on equality, human rights and inclusion, alongside cultural events showcasing Thailand’s LGBTQ+ communities.

PHUKET, Thailand – Phuket will welcome LGBTQ+ advocates and Pride organizers from around the world as Thailand hosts the InterPride General Meeting & World Conference 2026, from 28 October to 1 November. The first gathering of its kind in Asia will bring international networks together to exchange ideas, strengthen partnerships, and advance equality and human rights.

Held in Patong Beach under the theme “Pearl of Asia,” the conference will feature 12 confirmed workshop topics and a special InterPride 101 session. Discussions will cover human rights, mental health, misinformation, and international advocacy, alongside Thailand’s marriage equality milestone, Thai drag culture, workplace inclusion, and safer spaces in sports.

Hosting the conference gives Thailand an opportunity to share its experience in advancing LGBTQ+ rights while learning from communities worldwide. The Pride City Network, which connects networks across 58 provinces, also aims to apply lessons from the gathering to make Pride events throughout Thailand safer, more accessible, and more sustainable.

Delegates will also experience Phuket’s culture through Drag Street performances in Patong, a visit to Phuket Old Town, a gala dinner, and a networking trip to Coral Island. These activities will showcase Phuket’s attractions while creating opportunities for international exchange and collaboration.

The event is organized by Phuket Pride and the Andaman Power Phuket Association, in collaboration with Bangkok Pride, the Foundation for SOGI Rights and Justice (FOR-SOGI), and the Pride City Network, with support from government agencies and the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB). The gathering will highlight Thailand’s role in global conversations on LGBTQ+ inclusion and strengthen connections between international Pride networks and local communities. (PRD)
