PEA extends electricity payment date for flood victims

BANGKOK, 25 October 2011  – The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has extended payment of electricity bills for flood-affected power users.

1. Residential electricity users and small enterprises are allowed to extend bill payment by three more months after due date.

2. Medium and large-scaled enterprises, as well as specific types of businesses, are allowed to extend their electricity payment by another three months after due date without interest.

And in order to strengthen the electricity supply, the PEA had additionally installed transformers at Chulalongkorn sluice gate, Khlong Prem Rangsit Nuea sluice gate, Khlong 13 sluice gate on Lam Luk Ka Road and Khlong 9 sluice gate in Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok area to ensure continuous electricity distribution.
