PDRC leader Seri Wongmontha arrested at Suvarnabhumi airport

BANGKOK, May 21 – A leader of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) has been arrested at Suvarnabhumi International Airport on today (May 21st) as he returned to Thailand from a stay in the United States. 

PDRC core leader Seri Wongmontha was among the 30 PDRC members wanted by authorities on charges of insurrection. Immigration police have apprehended him soon after he landed at the airport. He is currently being detained before being arraigned by prosecutors.

Last month, the police also arrested another PDRC leader Sakoltee Phattiyakul at the airport on the same charges after he returned from the US.
