BANGKOK, 5 July 2015 – A vice chairman of the National Reform Council’s committee in charge of the reform of politics has declined to comment on the details of the draft charter.

According to the NRC’s political reform committee vice chairman, Direk Teungfung, the adjustment of the draft Constitution has been going on smoothly, after he has been following up on the process carried out by the Constitution Drafting Committee.

Mr. Direk said that many issues have been adjusted although he still has some concerns because he has not seen all the details of the draft charter.

He added that the CDC has not made any statement about all the changes and that his knowledge on the changes was derived from news reports only.

Accordingly, he is unable to make any further comment on the charter changes.

’ Nevertheless, Mr. Direck noted that the CDC should soon explain to the NRC all the changes it has made so that both will share common understandings about the progress.
