After winning parliamentary approval, Anutin visited his ailing father for a moment of respect before returning to Parliament, pledging dedication to Thailand’s urgent challenges.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand’s 32nd Prime Minister, Anutin Charnvirakul, has stressed the urgency of the work ahead, saying he intends to make each day count as he takes on the country’s pressing challenges.

Anutin thanked the People’s Party and others who supported his approval in Parliament. When asked about the upcoming cabinet appointments, he urged patience, saying preparations were already underway.

After the vote yesterday (Sep 5), Anutin left Parliament through a crowd of reporters, pausing briefly to offer a wai before departing. He then visited his ailing father, Chavarat Charnvirakul, at the hospital. In a quiet moment, he knelt and rested his head on his father’s lap as a sign of deep respect. Chavarat told his son he was proud to witness the moment and urged him to conduct himself well in office.

Anutin later returned to Parliament to help maintain quorum as proceedings continued. (NNT)
