BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has chaired an economic policy meeting, approving the third phase of the 10,000-baht stimulus package and introducing a registration system for citizens without smartphones. Attended by key ministers and officials, the meeting reviewed economic performance and discussed strategies to sustain growth in 2025. Participants examined 46 ongoing stimulus projects, covering private consumption, investment, government expenditure, and exports.

The prime minister identified tourism and exports as primary economic drivers and called for measures to strengthen long-term stability.

The third phase of the stimulus package includes updated eligibility criteria to expand access to financial aid. A new registration system will allow those without smartphones to apply for assistance. Relevant agencies have been assigned to implement the program and prepare a formal proposal for Cabinet approval.


To prevent misuse of funds, government agencies have been instructed to improve fraud detection and monitoring systems. A dedicated committee will oversee compliance, investigate irregularities, and enforce legal measures where needed. Steps will also be taken to recover any misallocated funds, ensuring transparency in distribution. (NNT)
