Maldivian Health Minister visits Thailand


BANGKOK, 26 July 2012  – The Maldivian Health Minister paid a visit to Thailand on Wednesday to exchange medical knowledge with the Thai Public Health Ministry. 

Thai Public Health Minister Witthaya Buranasiri welcomed Maldivian Health Minister Ahmed Jamsheed Mohamed to the kingdom. Both ministers then discussed medical and public health knowledge. Thailand agreed to extend cooperation in medical personnel development to Maldives.

Mr Witthaya said Maldives asked Thailand to revise their previous Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) to expand more cooperation. He said both sides will work on details on the matter before proceeding with the revision.
