Surat Thani police recover luxury watches, handbags, and jewelry worth over 1.2 million baht from a housekeeper who stole from her employer to settle illegal debts.

SURAT THANI, Thailand – Police in Bo Phut have arrested a 32-year-old housekeeper who stole valuables from her employer’s luxury villa, totaling more than 1.2 million baht, claiming she needed the money to pay off illegal debts.

The suspect, Ms. Suparat, allegedly took three Rolex watches, five branded handbags, and jewelry while working as a cleaner in a high-end villa on Phu Chaweng, Koh Samui. Authorities recovered two Rolex watches worth around 700,000 baht, handbags worth 300,000 baht, and gold and diamond jewelry worth 200,000 baht.



Police intercepted a parcel intended to ship the stolen items to Bangkok. During questioning, the suspect admitted to multiple thefts at the same villa and six similar incidents in the past, explaining she sold the items online. She faces charges of theft in a dwelling using a vehicle.

The villa owner, Ms. Mananya, thanked police for their swift action and praised their efficiency in recovering her property.
