Kids with heart disease to get free surgery on April 1

BANGKOK, 13 March 2013 The Cardiac Children Foundation of Thailand is providing free checkups and surgery for kids with congenital heart disease on April 1st. 

According to Cardiac Children Foundation of Thailand President Dr. Boonchob Pongpanich, the foundation, under the patronage of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana, is giving free surgery to children born with heart disease. He is urging those parents who think their babies might have a risk of catching a heart disease or have a congenital heart disease to see a doctor immediately. Symptoms of heart disease include fatigue, unusual breathing, and catching cold frequently. There will be free checkups and surgery provided on April 1st, from 9am to 12pm, at Sikharin Hospital.

Furthermore, a charity concert on ‘Musical… Musicals’ will be held on April 28th, with an aim to raise money for heart disease patients. The concert will take place at M Theatre on Petchaburi Road. Tickets are available at ThaiTicketMajor, with prices ranging from 1,000-2,000 baht.
