Interior Ministry to elaborate rural development plan

BANGKOK – The Ministry of Interior is set to hold a meeting to explain the development plan for rural areas in accordance to the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, enhancing the strength of villages and communities.

The Deputy Permanent-Secretary of Interior Ministry Chayapol Titisak has revealed the Ministry will be holding a conference to elaborate the rural areas development plan in accordance with the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, to ensure direct communication between the working officials on 11 February 2016.

The conference will be streamed to all provinces, while the Ministry of Interior Gen Anupong Paojinda will give the policy on the operational integration to push forward the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy’s practicality, and to answer any questions that may arise from the local public.

NBT station will also be broadcasting the conference live during 2pm-4pm.

The Ministry of Interior has been working with the Office of the Royal Development Projects Board and related agencies to encourage development in rural areas and the agricultural sector using the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy under the 4 year plan (2014-2017).
