His Majesty grants royal patronage for cremation of fallen border soldier

A solemn royal-sponsored cremation was held for Private Sirawit Phinyosuk in Khon Kaen, honoring his sacrifice during military operations near the Thai–Cambodian border.

BANGKOK, Thailand – His Majesty the King has granted royal patronage for the cremation ceremony of Private Sirawit Phinyosuk, who was killed in the line of duty during military operations along the Thai–Cambodian border. The ceremony took place on August 2 at Wat Saithong in Si Chomphu district, Khon Kaen province.

Gen Ekkarat Changkaew, Chairman of the Advisory Council to the Royal Thai Army, presided over the ceremony as the royal representative. He was joined by Khon Kaen Governor Kraisorn Kongchalad, senior military officers, government officials, private sector representatives, and residents who came to pay their respects.



As part of the ceremony, General Ekkarat presented the national flag to Private Sirawit’s family in honor of his service. The Royal Thai Army also provided financial support and full welfare benefits. The Second Army Region issued a message of condolence, reaffirming its support for the fallen soldier’s loved ones.

Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office Suchart Tancharoen, on behalf of the government, also presented an additional 1,000,000 baht in compensation to the family, acknowledging their loss and honoring the soldier’s ultimate sacrifice. (NNT)
