Officials review flood-relief payout data as thousands of pending transfers await updated bank information to ensure every eligible household receives the 9,000-baht support.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Government Spokesperson Siripong Angkasakulkiat has provided updates on the lump-sum compensation scheme for households affected by the 2025 monsoon-season floods, which provides financial assistance of 9,000 baht per household.

As of December 6, 2025, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) and the Government Savings Bank have transferred payments in five batches (December 1-5) across eight southern provinces—Songkhla, Trang, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Narathiwat, Pattani, Yala, Satun, and Surat Thani—covering 612,573 households, totaling 5,513,157,000 baht.

He noted that attempts to transfer to 8,657 households were unsuccessful due to irregular or inactive bank accounts. Relevant agencies are updating the information and will expedite payment as quickly as possible.

The spokesperson urged residents who have not yet linked their PromptPay account to their national ID number to contact any bank to complete the process and ensure timely receipt of assistance. (NNT)
