SAMUT PRAKAN, 12 February 2016 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs along with the Command Center for Combating Illegal Fishing (CCCIF) are accelerating their efforts to create understanding among foreign media regarding the government efforts to tackle illegal fishing activities.

Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affair’s information department Sek Wannamethee revealed the results of an unofficial discussion with international news agencies in Thailand along with related agencies regarding the European Union’s disapproval of illegal fishing activities in Thailand, saying that the CCCIF will, from now on, be the media’s primary source of official information from the government.
