BANGKOK, Thailand – The First Army clarified that there has been no order to reopen the Thailand-Cambodia border in Sa Kaeo Province, following reports circulating online suggesting that soldiers were instructed to prepare for a reopening of the Khao Din permanent border checkpoint in Khlong Hat District on November 1, 2025.

The army emphasized that the Eastern Peacekeeping Command (Krongkan Burapha), responsible for the border area, has not issued any directives to open the checkpoint. Authorities confirmed that the current border closure policy remains in effect, consistent with existing regulations for border management and security.

The statement aims to dispel misinformation and reassure the public that the border situation remains unchanged, with continued monitoring to ensure safety and order along the Thailand-Cambodia frontier.

The First Army reaffirmed its commitment to following government policies regarding border management and maintaining strict control over cross-border movement in the region. (TNA)
