Rescue workers assist injured passengers after an employee shuttle bus overturned into a roadside ditch on the Asia Highway in Bang Pa-in district, Ayutthaya, on Saturday morning.

AYUTTHAYA, Thailand – An employee shuttle bus overturned into a roadside drainage ditch on the Asia Highway, inbound to Nakhon Sawan, in Bang Pa-in district of Ayutthaya province on Sunday morning, Jan 18, injuring 14 people, including the driver.

Rescue workers said the bus was transporting employees from Navanakorn to a company in Rojana Industrial Park 1 when it lost control, struck a streetlight pole, and overturned into the ditch. The injured passengers climbed out through the windows and stood on the side of the vehicle before being assisted by emergency responders and taken to hospital.

All injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening. The driver told police he briefly lost consciousness while driving, causing him to lose control of the bus. Authorities are continuing their investigation. (TNA)
