Election Commission (EC) revealed numbers of cases under investigation that violate election law from 9 constituencies

Bangkok, 4 February 2014 The Election Commission (EC) has revealed a number of cases under investigation for violating election law in nine constituencies 

Mr.Boosong Noisophon, the election commissioner overseeing legal investigations, revealed that complaints related to abuse of election law were sent to the EC from eight provinces and nine constituencies, with four cases against Pheu Thai, one case against Phalang Chon, two cases against Chart Thai Pattana and one case against Phum Chai Thai. All cases are under investigation.

Mr.Somchai Srisuthiyakorn, the electoral commissioner responsible for the administration of the election, praised the government security agencies, and committees at polling stations for conducting a peaceful poll. Given the uncertainty of the occasion, he also expressed gratitude to protesters who kept the situation under control and did not provoke violence.
