BANGKOK, 27 Nov 2014, The Constitution Drafting Committee (CDC) yesterday met with related agencies, discussing the details of the soon-to-be-organized public hearings, and designing its forum’s mechanism and patterns.

Also attending the meeting were National Reform Council member Pracha Terat, Director-General of the Department of Public Relations Apinan Juntarungsri, and representatives of the Ministries of Defense and the Prime Minister’s Office.

The meeting was aimed at designing the mechanism and patterns of public hearings on the charter drafting and the national reform before conducting the forum nationwide.

The meeting also pointed out that feedback from various media outlets on the matter during the first week was rather positive, with addressing corruption being the top priority in the new constitution, closely followed by fair enforcement of laws, and an impartial justice system. It also demanded a snappy election and the rights of the public to impeach the government.

All the opinions collected would be presented to the CDC for consideration at the beginning of next month.
