Cambodian Prime Minister to Visit Thailand this Friday

AKP Phnom Penh, December 14, 2015 — Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will pay an official visit to Thailand on Dec. 18, on the occasion of the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relation between the two nations, at the invitation of his Thai counterpart H.E. Gen. Prayut Chan-o-Cha.

According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation made public this evening, after the visit, Samdech Techo Hun Sen will co-chair on Dec. 19 the 2nd Cambodia-Thailand Joint Cabinet Retreat which will consider Political and Security, Economic, Social, Cultural and Education Issues.

Both premiers will preside over the signing ceremony of five documents, including the Joint Declaration of the 2nd Cambodia-Thailand Joint Cabinet Retreat; the Memorandum of Understanding on the Development of Stung Bot – Nog Ian International Point of Entry, the Memorandum of Understanding on Labor Cooperation, the Agreement on the Employment of Worker, and the Agreement on Cooperation between Cambodia-Thailand Business Council and Thailand-Cambodia Business Council, it pointed out.

A Joint Press Statement will be released after the signing ceremony, said the press release, adding that Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen will also meet with Thai Business Community.

The Cambodian premier will be accompanied by H.E. Hor Namhong, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; H.E. Sok An, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister in charge of the Office of the Council of Ministers; H.E. Tea Banh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, and other members of the Royal Government of Cambodia.
