BUENG KAN –Bueng Kan province is moving forward with efforts to create a good image for the province, in a bid to achieve sustainable development as the it gears up to welcome the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
Bueng Kan Governor Pongsak Preechawit presided over a workshop on how to create and publicize a positive image of the province as the AEC becomes a reality on the last day of 2015. 160 people including related government officials, government public relations officials as well as those from the private sector joined the workshop at the The One Hotel in the province’s main district.
The Public Relations Office’s Jirada Poonsawat said the office had received a budget from the province to organize the workshop in a bid to provide knowledge to local government heads, officials in charge of public relations as well as related individuals from the private sector. The workshop aims wants those involved to understand how to effectively promote a positive image of the province and its works to the public and target groups. The training prepares officials for the province’s expansion as it gears up for the start of the AEC.
Former Public Relations Department Director-General Teerapong Sodasri gave a speech on how to create a good image and how to write positively for good public relations. In addition, Ms. Jirada gave a lecture on how to draw cartoons for use in public relations campaigns and how to use social media for general public contact. The workshop also included training from professional photographers on how to take photos that can be used for good public relations.
