BANGKOK, Thailand – Bangkok has once again been ranked among the top five most popular destinations worldwide, according to Booking.com’s Summer 2025 travel trends survey. The global booking platform’s results, covering travel patterns from June through August, place Thailand’s capital alongside Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, Tokyo in Japan, and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sports attributes the recognition to Bangkok’s strong appeal in multiple tourism sectors. The city draws visitors with its rich cultural heritage, acclaimed Thai cuisine, and distinctive lifestyle offerings, while blending traditional experiences with modern metropolitan conveniences to satisfy a wide range of traveler preferences.
The survey results showcase Bangkok’s ability to compete with leading international destinations. Its inclusion alongside cities in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa represents broad global appeal and a strong presence in the international travel market, with high demand during the peak summer.
Officials in the tourism sector see the ranking as proof of Thailand’s stature on the world stage, highlighting its ability to attract global visitors and offer distinctive, memorable experiences.
