BANGKOK, Thailand – Bangkok recently made history! For the first time ever, the BBC World Service’s The Arts Hour on Tour was recorded live in the heart of Thailand at Aksra Theatre, King Power Rangnam.

The event spotlighted the brilliance of Thai arts and culture on a global stage — with powerful performances and inspiring stories from Thai talents, including:

Joss Way-ar Sangngern, lead actor from the Boys-Love TV series My Golden Blood

Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke, director of A Useful Ghost, a film recently honored at the Cannes Film Festival



Milli, Thailand’s first female rapper to perform at Coachella in the U.S.

Tilly Birds, an alternative rock band gaining international recognition

Pim Boonyawee, an up-and-coming female English-language comedian
