PHETCHABUN, Thailand – A 93-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital after being bitten by a cobra while resting on a bed under her house on October 12. The incident occurred around noon in Yawi Village, Wang Chomphu Subdistrict, Mueang District.
According to her daughter, Yai Thong was lying on the bed when a cobra, about the size of an adult arm, slithered onto the bed. The snake first nipped her finger lightly, causing her to move her hand. Moments later, it struck again with full force, prompting Yai Thong to jerk and shake the snake off, screaming in pain.
Her daughter immediately rushed her to a local hospital, where she was admitted to the ICU for urgent treatment. Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant for snakes, particularly around homes in rural areas. (TNA)
