54 foreign scammers flee Myanmar military raids, surrender in Thailand

Following a military siege on the notorious KK Park cyber-scam hub, 54 foreign nationals—including Pakistanis, Africans, and Chinese—crossed the Moei River into Thailand and turned themselves in to authorities in Mae Sot, Tak.

TAK, Thailand – Fifty-four foreign nationals, identified as scammers working at Myanmar’s notorious KK Park, illegally crossed the Moei River into Thailand and surrendered to authorities in Tak province.

The individuals fled after the Myanmar military launched a siege and subsequently bombed the Myawaddy-based cyber-scam compound.



The escapees were apprehended in two groups in Mae Sot district: 39 individuals—mostly Pakistanis and Africans—and 15 Chinese nationals.

All detainees confirmed they were fleeing the military operation at KK Park, which is known as a major hub for global scam operations. (TNA)
