“Home at Last” – Thai labour officials greet 22 workers returning from Israel after completing short-term contracts.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Labour Permanent Secretary Boonsong Thapchaiyut welcomed 22 Thai workers returning from Israel at 8:00 PM on Monday. The workers had completed their short-term contracts with Chemo Aharon Ltd., an Israeli company in the industrial sector, under two-year agreements.

The group was originally scheduled to return on June 16, 2025, but due to instability in the region, their departure was delayed. Chemo Aharon Ltd. arranged and paid for all travel expenses, including airfare, visa fees, meals, and ground transport to Amman Airport.

The workers departed Israel on June 23 at 1:00 AM via Royal Jordanian Flight RJ650, transited through Doha on Qatar Airways Flight QR828, and arrived in Thailand at 7:20 PM the same day.

Mr. Boonsong also revealed that nine more Thai workers currently in Israel have requested to return home voluntarily due to the ongoing war. They are expected to arrive in Thailand on Friday, June 27. (TNA)
