Chatchawal Supachayanont (center), GM of Dusit Thani Pattaya welcomes officials from Pentangle Promotions, led by Geoffrey Rowe (2nd left) as they pose in front of the ‘Hall of Fame’ of the WTA players who participated in this year’s PTT Pattaya held at the hotel recently. The tournament is one of the longest running events on the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tour following directly on from the Australian Open. Dusit Thani Pattaya has been the official hotel to the prestigious tournament since its inception in Pattaya twenty two years ago. The 2010 Open was voted as ‘Tournament of the Year’ by the players citing the wonderful adventures they experienced in Pattaya as well as the welcoming reception provided by the staff and management of the hotel.

Dusit Thani Pattaya staff and management led by general manager Chatchawal Supachayanont (centre) joined the city of Pattaya in celebrating National Children’s Day on January 12. Every year, Dusit Thani Pattaya fulfils this event by setting up its own booth under a tent to accommodate all activities intended for the kids who stop in with their parents while celebrating the occasion. Apart from ice cream, candy and other refreshments, the kids are also provided with school items and educated on the importance of a green environment. They take turns in sharing their thoughts on the subject and everybody is excited to win prizes. No one goes home empty handed because Moms are given a seedling to tend to and children happily strike a pose for some photos!

Neoh Kean Boon (left), resident manager of Dusit Thani Pattaya and Arum Chaisomsri (2nd right), training manager are joined by the hotel management and Dusit International management trainees who recently paid a visit to the resort as well as the dusit d2 property for inspection and familiarization of the city. Hotel GM Chatchawal Supachayanont gave them a pep talk for encouragement and understanding of hotel management perspectives. The management trainees are composed of university graduates with a bachelor’s degree and some are Dusit employees who decided to enter the program to study among others, the integration of theories, operational principles and practices into project presentation to the corporate executives’ level.

The management of Dusit Thani Pattaya, led by Resident Manager Neoh Kean Boon (4th right), held a meeting with officials of Pentangle Promotions, headed by managing director Geoffrey Rowe (centre), to discuss preparations for the 2013 PTT Pattaya Open. The 22nd annual tournament will be held from 27 January until 3 February 2013. The PTT Pattaya Open 2013 will be graced by highly-respected tennis stars such as Vera Zvonareva and Ana Ivanovic. It is part of the WTA Tour for professional women tennis players of international rankings, and is equivalent to an ATP World Tour 250 series event.
